What is an entity register?
Entity register: An entity register is the single, owned record of every fact a business asserts about itself, including its legal and display names, address, phone number, hours, services, people, identifiers, and profile URLs. It gives website copy, structured data, business profiles, and directory listings a shared source of truth.

Why it exists
Search engines, AI systems, and prospective customers encounter business information across many sources. Inconsistencies such as different suite numbers or conflicting Tuesday hours make the correct fact harder to identify. The register creates one place to resolve and maintain those facts.
What it contains
For each entity: canonical name, type, alternate names and where they may be used, a short description, primary URL, stable identifier, verified external profiles, attributes, relationships to other entities, and the date it was last reviewed.
